Tough to disagree with John Wall on this one.
Marcin Gortat is often the beneficiary of easy lay-ins as a result of playing with John Wall. As most bigs would, Gortat has grown accustomed to those easy looks, and perhaps spoke out of turn on twitter after a recent game.
Unbelievable win tonight ! Great "team" victory!— Marcin Gortat (@MGortat) February 2, 2018
This might explain why the Wizards are hell-bent on trading Gortat, according to reports. This team isn't talented enough to survive a cancer in the locker room, even with the excellent play of Wall and emergence of All-Star Bradley Beal.
Wall has never been one to back down from a challenge, and he just blasted Gortat for the entire world to hear.
“He gets the most assists from me and the most spoon-fed baskets ever" pic.twitter.com/aOk4mxkNpo— Sports Illustrated (@SInow) February 6, 2018
Who are we to disagree?
This is no shot at Gortat, as he's been one of the most consistent bigs in the East the past few years with Wall often setting him up for easy baskets. It's just how today's NBA is set up, with an emphasis being on bigs that can spread the floor and operate within a pick and roll.
Gortat spoke out of turn, however. And that's not okay.
