Addison Reed is officially off the free agent market, but he just signed with a team many MLB fans probably wouldn't have guessed.
Get excited Minnesota.
According to MLB insider Ken Rosenthal, the Twins have agreed to a new deal with Reed to bring him to the AL Central.

In honor of Keith Jackson, our reaction for this deal is whoa, Nellie.
This is a huge get for the Twins, who are signing their new reliever to a two-year deal worth more than $16 million.
Reed had been linked to the Mets, Astros, Red Sox, Rangers, Diamondbacks and others. The Twins, interestingly enough, weren't expected to be major players to land his services. But life comes at you fast.
This is a splash. Addison Reed instantly becomes the Twins’ best reliever. https://t.co/gSpd695Wi2— Phil Mackey (@PhilMackey) January 13, 2018
After an early exit in the AL Playoffs last season, the Twins are looking to make a deep run in 2018. Signing Reed to this deal certainly helps in a big way.
