When you're the son of a legendary former college football coach, it's hard to go anywhere but where your Dad earned the title "legendary."
Drake Stoops, the son of Oklahoma Sooners old head ball coach Bob Stoops, is carrying on the OU tradition by committing to play football for Lincoln Riley:
Stoops was also heavily considering an offer that he received from Iowa, but ultimately opted to stay in his home state and play for his dad's old school. He's the No. 20 overall recruit out of the state of Oklahoma and becomes the second WR (along with Treveon Johnson) that OU has nabbed in the 2018 class.
The 5-11, 175-pound Stoops will come to Oklahoma as a preferred walk-on. Over three seasons at Norman North High School, he caught 200 passes for 3,390 yards and 39 touchdowns.
Chances are good that Stoops earns himself a scholarship in a short amount of time. He's looked at as a high-quality walk-on for the Sooners.
