Even though the focus in Washington is on Kirk Cousins, the Redskins got some good news regarding one of their top wide receivers.

According to reports, Jamison Crowder is "open" to signing an extension with the team.

Crowder is entering the final year of his rookie deal, and says he "likes it" playing in Washington, and feels comfortable with his role in the offense.

There were high expectations for Crowder coming into the 2017 season, and even though he had a decent season, it wasn't a huge success. Crowder ended the season with 66 catches for 789 yards.

His best season came in 2016 where he caught 67 passes for 847 yards. When talking about his expectations for next season, Crowder knows he has to get more consistent.

With Kirk Cousins' future with the Redskins up in the air, it's important for the team to keep as much talent as possible to stay competitive in the already grueling NFC East.

Signing Crowder to an extension would be a good first step.
