There are many teams in the MLB who could desperately use a right-handed pitcher in their starting rotation. Luckily for all those teams, there's a plethora of arms out there ripe for the picking. This doesn't just include free agents. There are many teams willing to trade right handers, and they might come cheaper than the big-name free agents on the market. Here are three teams who should trade for Braves pitcher Julio Teheran.
3. St. Louis Cardinals
The St. Louis Cardinals have made some impressive moves this offseason. Now, they're set to lose Lance Lynn to free agency, so they could use another righty arm. Teheran hasn't been quite as effective as Lynn, but he could be a back-of-the-rotation guy to complement Carlos Martinez, Michael Wacha, and Adam Wainwright.
2. Tampa Bay Rays
Behind Chris Archer, the Rays don't have much firepower in their starting rotation. Now that Alex Cobb is a free agent, the Rays could use some help. Julio Teheran would be a great fit for the Rays, who are currently relying on Jake Odorizzi and Matt Andriese to hold down the fort. Teheran would round out their starting rotation and help them climb their way to the top of the AL East.
1. San Diego Padres
The San Diego Padres pitching staff is thin. After losing Jhoulys Chacin, the Padres don't have much going for them in their rotation. Teheran would bolster the rotation that currently contains Clayton Richard, Luis Perdomo, and Dinelson Lamet. None of these three performed well last season, so it would be wise for the Padres to outsource for more pitching. Teheran would be a welcomed addition to this struggling Padres staff.
