With DeAndre Jordan reportedly looking to opt out of his contract with the Clippers after this season, he decided to go ahead and hire Jeff Schwartz, of Excel Sports Management, as his agent.

But there's more to it than that.

It's been reported that the Milwaukee Bucks are making a strong push to land the star center.

Schwartz has strong ties to current Bucks head coach, Jason Kidd. He represented Kidd for most of his career, helping him exit from the Brooklyn Nets head coaching job, to become the head coach of the Bucks.

You can certainly bet that the Bucks have the advantage in trade talks, due to the long relationship between Schwartz and Kidd.

Having Jordan team up a young, rising core such as Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jabari Parker, and the reigning Rookie of the Year Malcolm Brogdon, would wreak havoc in the Eastern Conference.

It remains to be seen if the Clippers will pull the trigger on a Jordan deal, but seeing the star big man hire an agent makes it seem more likely to happen.
