LiAngelo Ball and his UCLA teammates are reportedly on their way back to the states thanks to President Trump. What a world we're living in that I'm able to write that sentence.

After Ball, Cody Riley and Jalen Hill were arrested for shoplifting in China, the Wall Street Journal has reported that Trump spoke with Chinese President Xi Jinping regarding their release.

It was apparently granted as the three young men were seen at a Chinese airport boarding a flight to Los Angeles.

I think it's safe to assume the three learned their lesson after reportedly stealing from a Louis Vuitton store in Hangzhou, China. It was originally thought that the players would be placed under house arrest at their Chinese hotel along with receiving permanent banishment from the country. The Chinese don't mess around.

This probably isn't the way that LaVar had hoped LiAngelo, a distant third in the Ball Brother Power Rankings, would be getting publicity. Still, when your Dad appreciates media attention as much as LaVar does, any publicity is good publicity.
