As it currently stands, the Wizards are an average team. At 5-5 on the young season, Washington has been anything but impressive.

The pressure is on as the Wizards are seen to be a threat against the defending Eastern Conference champion Cavaliers.

Blowing a 20-point lead to the awful Suns and losing to the Lakers isn't going to cut it for a team with title aspirations.

Starting shooting guard Bradley Beal spoke out about the Wizards slow start.

The Wizards have what it takes to be the second best team in the East. The combo of Beal and John Wall, along with Otto Porter Jr. and Marcin Gortat, is a great formula to win games. Beal is right in saying they have to prove how good they think they are.

Losing to the Celtics in last year’s playoffs is all the incentive they need to get redemption this postseason.

I like the Wizards to make the Eastern Conference Finals, but it starts with winning games now. They shouldn’t have chemistry issues or issues with winning games. The Cavaliers, who are the target in the East, beat Washington 130-122 on Saturday.

For the Wizards, prove you're worthy contenders in the East. Plain and simple. If not and they are just pretenders, stop talking.

Time to put up or shut up in the nation’s capital.
