On Friday night, the Wizards hosted the Cavs in a huge Eastern Conference matchup. The Wizards ended up losing the game, but that wasn't the worst thing to happen to them.
John Wall injured his left shoulder during the loss and he missed last night's game due to the injury.
After the game, Wall had some choice words for Channing Frye.
John Wall says of the play that injured him that Channing Frye "threw his shoulder into me" https://t.co/EX7A89BHH4— NBC Sports Wizards (@NBCSWizards) November 4, 2017
“I tried to split a screen and it was shoulder to shoulder contact. But I feel like he threw his shoulder into me. I’ve been on split screens before and hit somebody’s shoulder or hit their body and never had that type of injury. I think his impact, the way he was coming, kind of gave me a stinger," said Wall.
If you haven't seen the play, here it is:
You could definitely see Frye leaning into Wall with a little force, so it's easy to understand Wall being frustrated over this injury. Then again, you need to consider Frye's decision to defend himself as Wall powered through the lane. If he didn't brace for it, Wall would have ran him over.
Wiz fans are just hoping Wall doesn't miss significant time.
