La Liga frequently produces some of the best European soccer highlights every weekend, with the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo wowing us with inhuman displays of athleticism.

The second division is a bit of a drop-off.

Spanish soccer player Mariano Bittolo, of second division Albacete, was the victim of the most vicious kick to the groin of all-time (not that we're ranking them, but you'll understand).

And you thought you had a bad weekend.

Soccer is a sport that moves at an incredible speed with spikes and very little protection. Frankly, it's surprising this doesn't happen more often.

Bittolo is audibly anguished in the video, as he writhes around the pitch in pain after an unfortunate case of friendly fire. The initial reaction spurred laughter from the stands, which is incredibly cold-hearted.

Upon gathering himself an walking to the sidelines, Bittolo was once again dealt a dose of reality as he witnessed the horror first-hand with a quick peak into his playing shorts--an injury that would required ten stitches to fix.

Vasectomies really ought to be performed by a medical professional.
