You just knew there was going to be plenty of drama in Game 1 of the NLCS. When two titans like the Cubs and Dodgers meet, there's going to be fireworks.
First, Yasiel Puig delivered an NSFW reaction to his double, which cut the Dodgers deficit to 2-1.
And moments ago, Joe Maddon got ejected after he was clearly livid following a controversial call at home plate. On the play, Charlie Culberson was thrown out thanks to a tremendous throw by Kyle Schwarber and an even better stop by Willson Contreras.
The problem, though, is that the Dodgers challenged and it was deemed Contreras didn't give Culberson a clear path to reach home plate.
As you might imagine, Maddon was furious.
He sprinted his way onto the field and let the umpires have it. Moments later, he was sent to the clubhouse.
Joe lost his cool here, but we can't really blame him. A lot of folks are going to be upset with this call. Well, unless they're Dodgers fans.
