Russell Westbrook is coming off an historic season where he averaged a triple-double and won the league MVP.
And with that comes money.
Breaking: Russell Westbrook signs 10-year extension with Jordan Brand, making him long-term face of the company.https://t.co/Vr65mZLQNP— Nick DePaula (@NickDePaula) September 13, 2017
Westbrook has extended his deal with the Jordan Brand through the 2025-26 season. The deal is the most lucrative endorsement to date for a Jordan athlete.
Westbrook originally signed with the Jordan Brand in 2013. This new deal will include both on and off the court sneakers for Westbrook, and the team is currently working on crafting on-court signature shoes.
A very cool thing added to the deal is that the Jordan Brand will contribute annually to Russell Westbrook's foundation. The foundation is called "Why Not?" and aims to help youth education.
So not only does Westbrook get paid big bucks in this new deal, but he also made sure to help out his foundation in his remarkably lucrative extension.
Russ just keeps on doing big things.
