This is absolutely the last thing anyone in the baseball community wants to ever see.

In a showdown between the Nationals and Giants on Saturday night, Bryce Harper was at the plate and tried to safely sprint his way to first.

Unfortunately for the superstar slugger, he awkwardly planted his left leg and went tumbling to the ground. Harper stayed down and was visibly in a ton of pain.

This sure doesn't look good.

We don't want to speculate on the severity of his injury, but the fact that he couldn't put any weight on his left leg and had to be helped off the field sure has fans across the MLB worried.

Just awful news for the first-place Nats. We can only hope this isn't a serious knee injury for Harper.
