It's truly been a hectic weekend for the Dallas Cowboys.
They've got a preseason contest against the Rams tonight, but the news surrounding Ezekiel Elliott has been dominating headlines throughout the weekend.
All the news has mostly been negative, considering he's been suspended the first six weeks of the season. However, a positive has finally arrived.
Remember when Zeke was accused to breaking a guy's nose at a club earlier this summer? Case closed, says the NFL.
NFL investigation regarding July 16 incident involving Ezekiel Elliott is closed, pending new evidence https://t.co/FbcyAQW2Nn— ProFootballTalk (@ProFootballTalk) August 12, 2017
According to ProFootballTalk, the NFL has closed the case from the July 16 incident, but would re-open it if new evidence were to be presented.
For the Cowboys, after a rough 48 hours, this can certainly be considered good news. Zeke will miss the first six weeks of the season, but it doesn't look like any more time will be added from the alleged brawl at the club.
