The reports and rumors from the New York Knicks keep getting more interesting. While no significant player moves have been made, the big names on the team have been rumored to be on the move.
And now that Phil Jackson is gone, more information is out in regards to what his plans were for Kristaps Porzingis.
Reports say that Jackson was willing to move Porzingis to a number of teams and that he was after a variety of assets. Now it looks like Jackson had talked with the Celtics about acquiring the No. 1 pick in June's NBA draft. With this pick, Jackson would have taken Lonzo Ball.
Had this move gone down it would have altered the draft and the current state of the league. Maybe Gordon Hayward does not go to the Celtics if Porzingis is there. Maybe Markelle Fultz ends up in Los Angeles. Maybe the Sixers get Jayson Tatum.
If Jackson had made this move, the league would have gone crazy. Instead, he is out and Porzingis is staying put.
