What a tragic story.

The Green Bay Packers community is one of the most close-knit units in all of sports. The fanbase and players have an incredible care for not just the team, but the community in general. Unfortunately, the community lost one of its members today.

People flooded Twitter to say goodbyes to Mitchell Henry, a former tight end for the Green Bay Packers and Baltimore Ravens, who passed away after a battle with leukemia.

The 24-year-old was diagnosed this past December, and has asked for thoughts and prayers on multiple occasions as he combatted the disease.

Henry spent a few different stints with the Packers, but never appeared in a true regular season game for the team. He also spent time with the Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens during his NFL career.

Before making the jump to the NFL, Henry was a star at Western Kentucky University, where he first began making a huge impact on his community.

The world has lost a truly great person. Rest in peace Mitchell.
