Gilbert Arenas has spoken!
With the Warriors' seemingly easy win over the Cavs in the NBA Finals this season, all the talk shifted to the debate over super teams, and whether or not LeBron James was the architect of such a concept.
Some believe his move to Miami was the beginning of the super team era. Others believe it was the Celtics that started that trend a few years earlier. Still others believe none of that matters because the Warriors took it to a whole new level.
Now, Gilbert Arenas is weighing in, and it's a doozy.
Arenas took the above image of LeBron James, with his epic quote defending his position of not starting super teams, and went on one of the longest rants you'll ever see on Instagram.
Check it out.
I'm not gonna lie, Arenas may be totally correct.
For all the hate LeBron gets for joining Miami, he actually may have more star power in Cleveland right now than he ever did with the Heat. Even crazier? All the star power on the Cavs is nowhere near enough to battle with what the Warriors have right now.
To make it more impressive, the Warriors didn't even need to rely on free agency to create their super team. Other than Kevin Durant, Golden State created what may be the first ever homegrown super team, as Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, AND Draymond Green are all GS draftees.
While the Warriors took the right way (mostly) to get here, what other NBA teams do to compete may not be as just.
