Freshman quarterback Jake Bentley impressed many in the SEC last season as he played extremely well in seven starts for the Gamecocks.
Bentley completed over 65% of his passes at a very strong 7.5 yards per attempt with 9 TD's and 4 INT's to close the year out last season. That's impressive for any freshman, let alone one as raw as Bentley. Entering 2017, the Gamecocks signal caller has even higher expectations.
Bentley continued to look good at South Carolina's Spring Game.

Bentley found his fellow emerging offensive star WR Bryan Edwards for a 68-yard touchdown pass only four minutes into the game.
The two connected again for a 21-yard TD later in the game. In a conference where strong quarterback play is hard to come by, South Carolina may have one of the league's best in Bentley.
